Brighton has always been one of my favourite places to visit. Th atmosphere and people are just incredible. I always feel so at home. It’s a place where it doesn’t matter what you look like or what you wear, everyone accepts you and makes you feel welcome. The many clubs, bars and pubs they have dotted around the town and lanes makes the night life one to join in with.
For the two nights that I went to Brighton. I stayed in The Old Ship Hotel which was a lovely place to stay. The hotel was right on the sea front and the lanes were right beside it. With Valet parking for both nights, I parked up the car and could explore the town without having to worry. The hotel itself was quite old fashion but had such a unique character to it that I loved and I would definitely stay there again. Especially as if you had a problem the staff would get to it straight away and get it fixed within an half hour.
This hotel was in a great position for me wanting to explore and try everything and anything that Brighton could offer me. The walrus was one pub I went to and it was definitely one of my favourites. When you looked in you could smell and see the old kind of pub that it was, making it ten times better for me as I love old, vintage things and places. The staff were so kind and chatty and I could’ve honestly spent all night enjoying myself in there. Another pub I went to which was much more smaller but still unique and friendly was The Victory, which had a good selection of local ales or lagers if you are into that.
The lanes in Brighton are probably the most famous of all and the one thing people want to go to when visiting and I am not surprised. The lanes are incredible and so unique that I have to explore them over and over again when visiting Brighton. One of the main places I always end up at is Chocca Wocca Doodah which is located deep within the lanes. It’s a shop that makes amazing chocolate but not only that, they make things out of just chocolate including cakes, animals etc. They even have a cafe above the shop for you to try and have a cuppa with some of their very own chocolate, which I have to recommend as it is probably some of the best chocolate I have ever tried and personally I don’t eat or like chocolate that much.
Apart from the lanes and the amazing shopping centre that Brighton has, it also has amazing food selection. From Italian to Steakhouse, to great breakfast cafe’s. One restaurant I tried was VIP Pizza which served both pizza and pasta. The staff again were so kind and welcoming and the food was absolutely unbelievable. The homemade dough and pizza’s were so mouth watering, I had to finish the whole plate, I did not want to leave anything. Another restaurant I tried was Il Bristo, a Steakhouse. It’s a small little restaurant within the lanes with seating outside and inside. The food portions didn’t look that much from sight but as soon as you started eating this tasteful food you start to realise how much and how filling it actually is. These two places I would definitely recommend if ever eating out in Brighton.
Something I’ve always wanted to try is The breakfast Club cafe fro breakfast and I managed to finally try one when being in Brighton. We waited about five minutes for a table which was bad, especially as they were very busy. When the breakfast came out I was shocked at how big it actually looked and I have to say I did not finish it as it was so filling. However, the food was incredible and one of the best places I have ever been for breakfast.
And of course you can not go to Brighton without going to the Pier. So thats what I did. The pier is one of my favourite places to be. The fun and peaceful-ness about it makes it a great place to go for a small walk and enjoy the sites. Having small places to eat and drink all the way up the pier is a great thing to stop off at too and enjoy and treat yourself.
So if you are ever in Brighton yourself, you should try these places if you have a chance but if not just have fun and explore like I did because Brighton is one of the best places to do that and you’ll love it.
