I have always been a fan of Catfish and The Bottlemen from such a young age. I remember hearing one of there songs one the radio and straight away falling in love with them. The way they sing and their lyrics, it all just amazed me. So when I had to the chance to go see them, I did. Down to. Brighton Centre I went, off to see Catfish and The Bottlemen.
The picture from their recent album, The Balance, was lit up twice on the stage, hanging behind the band. Which changed colours with the rest of the lighting, depending on the mood of the song. I loved this as it was a way to promote their new album as well as having a new cool way of lighting that I have never seen before at any other concerts that I have attended.

Catfish and The Bottlemen themselves were incredible. I didn’t know what to expect when I walked into the Brighton Centre. I didn’t know how they performed live but I knew I was excited to find out because their songs and voices were something I enjoyed listening to on a daily basis.
When they walked on stage they waved to the crowd before jumping right into their first song. I have to say they took my breathe away, they were just as incredible as listening to them on Spotify or Youtube, probably even better. They got the whole of Brighton Centre on their feet, singing and dancing to every word that came out of their mouths. Everyone knew the words and sung their hearts out with no regrets or embarrassment. Every person in Brighton Centre was enjoying themselves all night long and you could tell when they sung back every word how Catfish and The Bottlemen all had a smile on their faces. And I couldn’t even start to imagine how it felt for them to hear strangers sing every word of their own songs back to them.
The atmosphere in the Centre was something I’m trying very hard to explain. The energy coming off of everyone in that room was amazing and seeing people have some much fun was a sight to see, it was honestly incredible. Strangers becoming friends for one night of music and memories with one thing in common, being a fan of Catfish and The Bottlemen. If you ever have the chance I wouldn’t miss seeing Catfish and The Bottlemen.
