Picture This Takes Kentish Town By Storm

Picture This is an Irish rock band that originated from Athy, County Kildare. Composed of Ryan Hennessy, Jimmy Rainsford, Owen Cardiff and Cliff Deane. In 2017 they released their debut album, which entered atop the Irish Album Chart. Having recently released their second album, MDRN LV, they are now touring round Europe and American.

I have been a fan of Picture This since I saw them open up for Niall Horan in 2017. Their original songs and stage presence was one of the things that drew me to continue listening to them.

Seeing them perform at o2 Forum in Kentish Town was absolutely one of the best nights of my life. It’s also the first time I’ve been to this venue and I have to say it is now one of my favourites. I’ve always loved a small venue and one of them reasons are for how personal and unique it is to see someone perform there.

The atmosphere in the room was insane as everyone danced and sung together, even if you didn’t know them. The way a band can bring everyone in the room together I have always found fascinating, its a space for everyone to get away from the shit thats going on in the world at the moment, or even away from something thats happening in their lives.

The lighting was linked to the colours of their album being mostly reds and blues. These lit up the room and brought more atmosphere to the deep beats of some of their songs.

Ryan Hennessy, the lead vocalist of the band, is such an entertainer and you can tell watching him that he enjoys being up on stage so much, he was born to be there. The way he dances round stage like no ones watching and sings his heart out to every one of his songs. He’s stage presence was better than the first time I saw them, the band themselves were better as well. You could tell they have grow to who they are and have found their music together as a band. Listening to them sing live is exactly like listening to their recorded album, however you don’t get to experience the amazing atmosphere.

If you haven’t I would recommend listening to them or even seeing a show if you can because there is not doubt you will be entertained.
