Book Review: Faceless by Alyssa Sheinmel

Imagine waking up from an induced coma, only to find out you’ve been in an electrical fire which melted half your face in the process. This could be hard for anyone to deal with, let alone a teenage girl.

Alyssa Sheinmel’s book Faceless is both creative and heart filled fiction novel about loving yourself all over again. The hard process of a teenage girl learning to live with half of her face and half of someone else’s.

The book doesn’t spend much time building up to the pre-story, reeling the reader in straight away with the accident. It then takes you through a journey of life that you could not imagine yourself going through but somehow sympathise with this young girl.

A book that I definitely recommend to read before you die.
